Castleman's Disease of the Parotid Gland: A Case Report

摘要：

Castleman's disease is a lymphoproliferative disorder of unknown etiology. Although it may occur at any site where lymph nodes are located, it has rarely been found in the salivary glands. We describe here a patient with intraparotid Castleman's disease. A 29-year-old woman presented with a history of right cheek swelling for 2 months. Physical examination and computed tomography showed a well-demarcated, round-shaped, homogeneous, enhancing mass in the right parotid gland that seemed to involve the superficial lobe. A right superficial parotidectomy was performed, during which the facial nerve was well preserved. Final pathological report demonstrated intraparotid lymph node showing hyperplasia with Castleman's disease. At 5-year follow up, the patient is free of disease.
