摘要
Sono-photocatalytic reaction is a photocatalytic reaction with the simultaneous irradiation of ultrasound and light with a photocatalyst. In this paper, the photodegradation of the reactive brilliant red X-3B dyestuff catalyzed by coupling system of titanium dioxide and ultrasonic (US/UV/TiO2) was studied, the effect of catalyst dosage, pH value of initial solution, initial concentration of dyestuff, etc. on the degradation rate of the reactive brilliant red X-3B were also investigated. The experimental results showed that the synergetic effect was as significant as expected. The optimal amount of TiO2 under our experimental condition was 0.5 g/L. The photodegradation of the reactive brilliant red X-3B was favored with low initial pH or high initial pH. Photocatalytic degradation increased with increasing TiO2 loading (in the range 0-0.5 g/L) and decreasing dye concentration (in the range 100-10 mg/L) and solution pH (in the range 4.G-9.0). Addition of H2O2 up to 59 mmol/L hindered degradation of the reactive brilliant red X-3B, scavenging the photogenerated holes and hydroxyl radicals.
