Digital image compression method based on fast Curvelet transform

摘要
Curvelet transform has the sparsity represent of image both smooth and edge parts because of its strong directionality. The fast computation method of Curvelet transform is proposed by using unequally-spaced fast Fourier transforms so that it can reduce the computational complexity the existing way based on Radon transform. And this methods is applied to digital image compression. Experiment results show that this metheds can get better edge parts representationand the high PSNR under the high compression ratio. It can also improve the processing speed,compared with EZW.
