Zero-point spin fluctuations in itinerant electron metamagnetism

Itinerant electron metamagnetism at low temperature is investigated in the spin fluctuation (SF) theory considering the zero-point fluctuation. It is shown that the zero-point SF plays an important role in the strongly exchange-enhanced paramagnetism and the mass enhancement of these metamagnetic materials at low temperature because of the valley structure of the electronic density-of-state (DOS) curve near the Fermi energy.
