Lessons for the 21st century - 1999 James Flack Norris Award, sponsored by ACS Northeast Section

Few would argue with the premise that chemical education has much to contribute to world needs. How will this contribution be made - empirically or with guidance? The lessons of the 20th century [Lessons 1-5] can be exploited in the 21st century to make chemical education more effective to an increasingly larger number of students with an everbroadening spectrum of interests and who have a legitimate interest in understanding some aspects of our science.
