Adsorption of cations of alkaline-earth metals on compact carbon materials

摘要
Adsorption of Sr2+ ions on compact carbon materials is studied by the radioactive tracer method. The dependences of adsorption of these cations on the pH of solution, electrode potential, and adsorption time are found. The effects of alkaline-earth metal cations on cathodic and anodic processes on carbon samples at various heat treatment temperatures are studied by the potentiodynamic method. It is found that ions of alkaline-earth metals, which are adsorbed on the electrodes, inhibit the anodic and cathodic processes.
