Microstructure and mechanical property of Laves phase TiCr2-based alloys

摘要
The microstructure and phase structure of six Ti-Cr alloys near the TiCr2 composition were analysed after homogenously annealing at 1000 degrees C for 15 h and 1300 degrees C for 15 h, and the microhardness of TiCr2 was measured. The results showed that the alloys with composition in the range from 32. 5% to 35% Ti have pure Laves TiCr2 structure after homogeneously annealing at 1300 degrees C for 15 h, but display mixed structure of delta-TiCr2 and gamma-TiCr2, for Laves phase transformation from delta to gamma is sluggish. Microhardness of Laves phase TiCr2 is related to its composition.
