摘要
The design principles and optimization procedures of a novel digital radiographic technique for dual-energy imaging based on gas microstrip hybrid detection principles are presented and analyzed. The detector consists of a solid state crystal coupled to a gas microstrip substrate. The proposed technology combines the high quantum detection efficiency of the solid state materials with the high gain and submicron resolution of the microstrip substrate. By simultaneously providing high spatial resolution and high contrast resolution it is expected that the dual-energy gas microstrip hybrid digital radiographic detector will have potential impact in medical diagnosis and treatment follow-up.
