摘要
In the present work, the bacterial cellulose was grafted with silane coupling agent and its characteristics were determined with help of Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy, Nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy. The silanized bacterial cellulose was used as toughener for both epoxy resin and glass fiber reinforced epoxy resin composites. Both the epoxy bulk composites and glass fiber-filled epoxy composites were prepared via three steps hot curing processing using 4, 4MODIFIER LETTER PRIME - diamino diphenyl sulfone (DDS) as hardener and salicylic acid (HX) as an accelerator. The curing profile of epoxy with curing agent was also studied with help of differential scanning calorimetry (DDS). The tensile properties, fracture toughness, and morphology of both epoxy bulk composites and glass fiber composites were investigated in detail. The mechanism fracture toughness was also proposed to explain for the improvement of interlaminar fracture toughness of glass fiber-filled epoxy composite.
