摘要：

A novel chrome free tanning agent, DT-T800, was used on pickled bovine hide for exploring the technologies of manufacturing both metal free and chrome free white leathers. The properties, such as shrink temperature, handle and whiteness, were observed. Several key points to control the tannage were emphasized introduced. The results showed that the leather tanned with DT-T800 had the characteristics of good whiteness, softness and fine grain. The shrink temperature of metal free leather could reach 80-82 degrees C, and that of chrome free leather could reach 85 degrees C.
