摘要
Single unit DC-AC power converters are gaining more popularity due to their features in terms of size, cost, weight and simplicity of the system. In various DC-AC power converters if a voltage source inverter (VSI) is used then an additional DCDC boosting stage is required. This paper proposes a new single unit DC-AC power converter, called split source inverter. SSI is a combination of boost stage and VSI stage as a single unit DC-AC power converters. SSI has some merits compared to other equivalent topologies. The main merit of SSI being the use of same modulation schemes of the conventional VSI without any modification. In this paper the operation and analysis of splitsource inverter with sinusoidal PWM technique has been carried out. The developed SSI model is simulated on MATLAB/Simulink environment. Simulation results have been obtained for inverter voltage, inductor current, output line voltage, phase voltage, output line current and total harmonic distortion of output line current.
