Granular gas-phase EPDM - The route to efficient mixing

In this paper a mixing model to optimize faster ingredient incorporation resulting in reduced mixing time at a given dispersion rating is described, Fill factor starting temperature and rotor speed are the important parameters for mixing granular EPDM, The benefits in both tangential and intermeshing mixers on laboratory and production scale are demonstrated. Industrial automatic metering and feeding tests confirmed the major process simplification using granular EPDM by offering a clean technology, producing high performance products at lower costs.
