摘要
It is known that some problems commonly arise when welding dissimilar metals, especially because it is more difficult to join dissimilar metals than similar metals. Therefore, to join S355JR-316L dissimilar plate with good quality, a groove of V, K, or X type is usually machined between the cross profiles of the S355JR-316L. Because different groove types correspond to different bead layouts that apply different heat inputs and because of the important influence of the heat input on dissimilar metals, it is foreseen that the temperature history, residual stress and deformation are affected by these two factors. The effect of the groove type on the temperature history, residual stress and distortion in the S355JR-316L dissimilar joint was researched by using numerical simulations and experiments. Adopting software from SYSWELD, which has developed into a global leader in welding and heat treatment simulation, considering the thermometallurgical-mechanical coupling behavior and solid-state phase transformation effect, the isotropic hardening model and moving heat source condition were applied to analyze the temperature history, stress field and deformation with different groove joints. In addition, the simulation results were compared with the experimental measurements. In the end, it is found that the temperature history, residual stress distribution and deformation are significantly impacted by the groove type through the simulation.
