摘要
The Bayesian Belief Networks modeling is applied in this paper to interpret the Acceptance Process for Safety-Critical Application using Commercial Off-The-Shelf Software proposed by Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory to assist USNRC to migrate the analog component systems to COTS systems in Nuclear Power Plant. The concepts of Bayesian Belief Networks, COTS software and BBN modeling are introduced as the background information of this paper. A BBN is created based on the knowledge of a particular category of the Acceptance Process. The BBN topology, the Node Probability Tables and the evidence propagation are demonstrated. At the end of the paper, the authors list several limitations of BBN modeling, and possible solutions for these limitations are also presented.
