摘要
(Chemical Equation Presented) When push comes to shove: The oxidative photoinduced electron transfer (PET) in anthrylmethylthiomaleonitrile derivatives is regulated by the intramolecular charge transfer (ICT) of the "push-pull" dithiomaleonitrile receptor. Selective complexation with palladium chloride switches off the ICT, stops the PET, and results in fluorescence enhancement (see picture). © 2007 Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA.
