摘要
Knowledge has always been an important resource in organisations; it makes up the intellectual capital upon which the organisation's wealth is acquired accumulated and measured. Knowledge transfer lines are the 'arterial highways' upon which organisational intellectual capital is transported. The operation of the 'arterial highways' is influenced by the organisational structure and social technology. An inappropriate structure, for environmental conditions, will inhibit the transportation and growth of intellectual capital and could impede organisational success. Knowledge is also the foundation of technological developments. The symbiosis of information technology, an appropriate social technology, and a better understanding of human capital are paramount for the development of intellectual capital.
