摘要
This article is aimed at the effect of cyclic loading on the internal damping measured on magnesium alloys AZ31 and AZ91. Internal damping reflects the ability of the material irreversibly dissipating mechanical energy of oscillations. That means, the material of high internal friction ability is able to significantly reduce the vibration amplitude. The internal damping dependencies were measured by ultrasonic resonance method. Internal damping depending on the vibration amplitude was measured on specimens in as cast state and after homogenization annealing. The goal was to find the difference of the internal damping in the samples before and after heat treatment. (C) 2015 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
