Molecular sensing with lanthanide luminescence in a 3D porous metal-organic framework

摘要
A Th-active metal-organic framework Tb(BTC)center dot(DMF)center dot(H2O) (1) was synthesized and characterized. Photoluminescence (PL) properties of Tb3+ ions in the partially desolvated compound Tb(BTC)center dot(DMF)(0.8)(H2O) (1a) were investigated as it was introduced into n-propanol mixed with other various solvents such as DMF, acetonitrile, tetrahydrofuran (THF) and acetone. The fluorescence intensity of compound la emulsions in n-propanol increased and decreased remarkably with the additions of DMF and acetone solvents, respectively, whereas the changes in the luminescence intensity of that in other cases were not obvious, which indicated the compound is promising to be employed as a novel luminescent probe for certain of small organic molecules.
