The present work consists of the implementation of a pre-therapeutic dosimetry system in the Hospital of Specialties Teodoro Maldonado Carbo IEES - Guayaquil, which calculates the accumulated absorbed dose in patients with Differentiated Thyroid Cancer (CDT) that require iodine 131 (131I) as a therapeutic modality. To do this, a software was designed using the Medical Internal Radiation Dose (MIRD) formalism, calculating the accumulated absorbed dose in blood per tracer unit and the maximum permissible activity required for a patient suffering from this pathology. This work constitutes an effective computational tool for the development of this type of calculations in patients with CDT, in different hospital facilities.
