摘要
Ad hoc network is an autonomous collection of mobile nodes. Being created and used "any time, anywhere" make them be an ideal technology to provide a seamless extension of the Internet to wireless mobile environment. Therefore, it is imperative to support a variety of data types in ad hoc networks, including text and multimedia data and satisfy different quality of services (QOS) of traffics. But it is difficult to implementation due to the mobility and shared wireless channel. In this paper, a new MAC protocol for voice/ data integrated traffic over IEEE 802.11 mobile ad-hoc networks is presented. The protocol is a slotted CDMA based on CSMA/CA basis. The objective of adding the time dimension is to decrease collision and guarantee the delay performance of real time service delay. The simulation results have shown that the protocol performance is better than the performance that IEEE 802.11 standard provides.
