摘要
Vibration is a serious problem in switched reluctance motors (SRMs) for its unbalanced radial force distribution on the rotor during the rotation. The paper analyzes the principle of radial force generation with radial force winding short-circuited in bearingless switched reluctance motors (BSRMs). The short-circuited radial force winding can be operated as a damping winding. A short-circuited control strategy is presented to regulate the main winding currents to reduce the rotor vibration. The simulation and experimental results verify the analysis.
