摘要
The development of fuel cell based propulsion technologies is an area of great interest for undersea applications. Under an Office of Naval Research (ONR) supported STTR project, FuelCell Energy (FCE), Barber Nichols, Inc. (BNI), and the Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) at Penn State University are working together to develop a hybrid fuel cell system for torpedo propulsion. The current project addresses the development of high power density systems which increase the duration and/or range of operation as compared to existing systems.
