摘要
An issue of global unique solvability is studied for an initial-boundary value problem for the three-dimensional Navier-Stokes equations under the assumption that given a Cartesian coordinate system x, y, and z, solutions are independent of y and z. The reduced system governs a shear flow between two moving parallel plates. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd.
