摘要
This paper proposes a novel binary-search-based maximum power point tracking algorithm for photovoltaic applications. This simple method, in comparison with modified Perturb-and-Observe and modified-Incremental-Conductance algorithms, reaches the maximum power point with higher efficiency, precision and convergence speed. The proposed algorithm is described in detail, with simulation results compared to that of other two modified algorithms. Experimental verifications on a prototype SEPIC converter are also provided, confirming the effectiveness of the proposed MPPT method.
