摘要:
A 53-year-old patient underwent a positron emission tomography/computed tomography with 2-fluoro2-deoxy-D-glucose (F-18-FDG PET/CT) in the suspicious of gastric tumor recurrence (mediastinal and abdominal lymph nodes). PET/CT identified only an area of F-18-FDGuptalce in the twelfth thoracic vertebrae. Unexpectedly, a bone scintigraphy revealed many "hot" spots changing the diagnosis (single metastasis versus plurimetastatic disease) and impacting on patient's management.
