Measurement of the anisotropy of the two-photon absorption coefficient in ZnSe near half the band gap

摘要
The dispersion of the degenerate two-photon absorption coefficient is measured in ZnSe near half the band gap for different orientations of the light polarisation to the crystal axes. The anisotropy and dichroism parameters clearly show a sizeable dispersion just above the two-photon absorption edge in agreement with ab initio full band structure calculation.
