A constant frequency zero voltage switching quasi-resonant converter for aerospace applications

摘要
The analysis of a buck zero voltage switching quasi-resonant converter for aerospace applications operating at a constant switching frequency is discussed. Its output voltage is regulated by controlling the free-wheeling period of the resonant inductor. In addition to better controllability, it possesses the advantages of PWM and frequency-modulated converters. The principle of operation, state plane plots, steady state characteristics, design procedure and simulation of buck constant frequency zero voltage switching quasi-resonant converter (CF-ZCS-QRC) are presented. A prototype of this converter operating at 100 kHz is implemented. The results of the simulation are compared with those obtained by experiment.
