摘要
New lead free resistor compositions in the resistance range of >10kohm/sq were demonstrated. This is the first time that leadfree resistor compositions in this range have been reported. During the last 30 years, many in the industry believed that it was impossible to develop lead free thick film resistors. Our new findings show that it is very likely fir that leadfree thick film resistors will become a reality. The difficulties encountered in the development of lead-free thick film resistors (TFRs) in the last 30 years will be discussed. New thick film resistors compositions developed and studied at Ben-Gurion University in the last 5 years are presented. New ruthenium based conducting phase and compatible glasses are described. Electrical properties (resistance and TCR) of the new lead-free TFRs are presented and discussed. The new resistor compositions span resistance range of similar to100 ohm/sq. to similar to1Megaohm/sq. with positive TCR. The implications of these properties are discussed.
