摘要：
This paper describes the development of an air-assisted catamaran without skirts. This patented technology derives from Mr. Burg's long involvement with air-assisted technology. The SeaCoaster concept eliminates the use of flexible seals and uses pointed bows. The development, construction and initial trials of a 19.8-meter vessel are discussed. Concepts for ferry, patrol and large container vessels are also presented.
