摘要
We have shown that contrary to the literature indications, phenyl isocyanate can react in very mild conditions (20 degrees) with cytosine, thymine, uracil, and adenine if these reactions are carried out in homogeneous medium (DMSO). As for guanine, the chief reason of its non-reactivity in the same conditions is its insolubility in this solvent.
