摘要
In this paper, a millimeter-wave (mmWave) differential filtering dual-patch antenna with filtering response is proposed to achieve filtering response by two E-shaped patches and a filtering power divider (FPD). Two pairs of slots on each E-shaped patch produce radiation nulls near the operating band. Moreover, square slots and parasitic patches are added to the patches, which results in wider operating bandwidth. An example of the proposed antenna is designed and simulated with the 10-dB bandwidth of 8.92%, the 15-dB bandwidth of 6.25%, and the maximum gain of 6.92 dBi. The proposed antenna provides a new mean to implement mmWave filtering communications, which would be attractive for future mmWave wireless systems used for 5G communications and other applications.
