Evaluation of pH gradient formation of carrier ampholytes with synthesized isoelectric point markers in capillary isoelectric focusing

摘要
Carrier ampholytes, peptides from protamine digested by alpha-chymotrypsin and two peptides, Gly-Gly-Gly and Gly-Gly-His, were labeled with dansyl chloride isoelectric point (pI) markers for evaluating pH formation in isoelectric focusing. These Dns-labeled ampholytes were partially purified by reversed-phase chromatography and/or preparative isoelectric focusing by rotatory cell and their pi values were estimated by comigration with protein-pi markers. These labeled markers were used to evaluate the resolution and the range of pH forming ability of carrier ampholytes.
