摘要：
In July 2015, the Iranian government and the six global powers, the US, UK, China, Russia, France, and Germany, after a long phase (almost 20 months) of passionate discussions and deliberations, reached a nuclear deal, the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), and it aimed to end the nuclear stalemate regarding Iran's nuclear quest. This study investigated the challenges and opportunities originating from JCPOA for the Persian Gulf, using two aspects of SWOT analysis. It was discovered through quantitative and qualitative data that JCPOA has more prospective to be opportunities for regional peace and security.
