Microwave-enhanced transport of chemicals into green wood under low-headspace conditions

摘要
The introduction of chemicals from the surface into the wood matrix through dielectric heating was studied. Wafers were cut against the grain from green pine sapwood. The pieces were spotted with 5.0 μ of Versatint purple II. The wafers were microwaved at 60W. Observations were made for individual wafers. The resulting data was analyzed in detail.
