Bit and burst error correcting codes with multi protection and control levels

摘要
Unequal error protection (UEP) codes were introduced for systems where error probabilities depend on position of bits. Unequal error control (UEC) codes were introduced for systems where data sequences can be divided into several parts of different importance. Fujiwara et. al. introduced unequal error protection (UEP)codes which have an additional property that errors occurring at less important parts do not violate error correcting procedures at more important parts. We give a UEC code for burst errors and random errors, and two UEP codes having 3 level error correcting capability.
