摘要
Mobile devices are gaining wide spread usage in business and financial applications. This paper explores how simple financial applications can be developed for mobile devices and introduces general framework for designing such financial applications. Using the framework, a simple application is developed to perform currency conversion based on dynamically changing currency exchange rate. The framework utilizes client software on the mobile phones using Nokia WAP Toolkit, which interacts with a server-side ASP (Active Server Pages) in conjunction with an associated application data base. The design and implementation of the system are discussed in the paper, and test results are presented.
