TEN YEARS LATER

A review is given of the development of university education in the scientific field of textiles in Croatia, on the account of the 20th anniversary of the independent work at the Faculty of Textile Technology, University of Zagreb. In the course of 20 years as an independent institution the Faculty has considerably enlarged its premises, new and sophisticated research equipment has been purchased, numerous strategic and developmental projects in Croatia have been organised, and the Faculty has been involved in some of the most important international scientific projects. Today, the Faculty of Textile Technology is one of the outstanding components of the University of Zagreb, a respectable European and global institution of higher learning, with recognised curricula and respectable research results. The Faculty has established excellent co-operation with numerous Croatian, European and overseas universities and institutes, on international and bilateral research projects, as well as in the field of student and teacher exchange.
