摘要
Gold nanocaps have been prepared by vacuum depositing gold films onto self-assembled monolayers of SiO2 nanoparticles, and characterized using SEM, AFM and XRD. The antibacterial activity of these gold nanocaps was investigated. It was found that gold films with cubic structure have completely covered self-assembled monolayers of SiO2 nanoparticles. The gold nanocap, comprising of 20 nm gold film and 450 nm SiO2 nanoparticles, possesses high antibacterial activity.
