摘要
Fractional slot concentrated windings interior permanent magnet synchronous motor was an attractive candidate due to its compact structure, high efficiency, high power density. This paper presents analysis of a fractional slot concentrated windings interior permanent magnet synchronous motor with modular stator for electric vehicles traction. First, the features of conventional integral slot distributed windings and fractional slot concentrated windings was illustrated and compared. Some importantly design consideration of proposed FSCW IPM traction motor were discussed. Finally, a design example was presented. The electromagnetic performance and effect of additional gap due to modular stator core were predicted and evaluated by finite element analysis.
