摘要：
In recent years Danish abattoirs have investigated various systems for optimising pig handling with respect to pig welfare and meat quality. This article describes this work and shows that high throughputs are possible without the use of force, such as electric goads, by designing systems that are adapted to pig behaviour. Such systems have some advantages qualitywise and moreover improve working environment in this area considerably by reducing noise levels.
