摘要：

The finding of the section "Arquitectura y Reconstruccion" of Concepcioon's newspaper El Sur during the 60s, confirms that given their scale and scope, mass media are the main imaginaries producers. Departing from this idea, this research examines how the chronicles presented in those pages generated not only the materialization of the city's modern architecture, but also the idea of progress related to it.
