摘要
This article focuses on the problems related to integration and tolerance, which became more pronounced between the majority and various ethnic groups following the reunification of Germany. The article explores the reasons why minorities face an othering strategy even during these days which mark the fiftieth anniversary of Turkish emigration to Germany. There is still an ambiguity concerning certain familiar concepts employed in arguments about minorities in Germany. This study emphasizes how a clarification in this respect can help to create an egalitarian multicultural environment, suggesting that concepts like acceptance policy and co-existence culture require a critical reading. The study also foresees the possibility of the development of new ideas and theoretical approaches concerning social and cultural policies as long as conceptual clarification is achieved.
