The author, throughout this work (remembering Prof. Americo da Costa Ramalho, from the University of Coimbra, on the centenary of his birth) initially addresses the problem of the adamism. He follows, on these reflections, the perspective that was established by the British medieval poet, Chaucer, in the translation of a passage from Inferno (Divine Comedy), by Dante Aligheri. On the other hand, he addresses the contribution of Giovanni Pico della Mirandola, in particular of his opus Heptaplus, regarding the days (as the title suggests) of the creation of the world.
