摘要
Routine immunizations have been suspected to promote the development of allergic disease in childhood. Most likely it is rather a coincidental than causal relationship. An allergy promoting effect is unlikely for routine vaccines like diphtheria-tetanus, pertussis, measles-mumps-rubella, and polio. Moreover, higher vaccination coverage seems to be associated with protection from early allergy. Considering the real risk of complications by vaccine-preventable disease in non-immunized individuals, there is no scientific justification to delay or refuse routine immunization in an effort to prevent development of allergic disease.
