On the D*Dπ and (B)over-bar*(B)over-barπ coupling constants in the effective quark model with chiral symmetry

The coupling constants g(D*D pi) and g((B) over bar*(B) over bar pi) Of the D*D pi and B*B pi strong interactions are computed in the effective quark model with chiral symmetry incorporating heavy quark effective theory (HQET) and chiral perturbation theory at the quark level (CHPT)(q) with linear realization of chiral U(3) x U(3) symmetry. We predict g(D*D pi) = 5.2 and g((B) over bar*(B) over bar pi) = 14.3. The 1/M-c corrections to the constant g(D*D pi) are calculated and make up less than 1%. The contribution of 1/M-b corrections to the constant g((B) over bar*(B) over bar pi) is much less.
