Education in the 21st Century and the Sports Culture on Campus

What is the relationship between education in the 21(st) century and sports culture on campus? That question is the main theme to be probed into and demands a solution in this paper. This thesis makes a comparison between the "Four Pillars" of education in terms of the standard for the educated and the functions of sports culture on campus. An in-depth analysis is made regarding connotation and denotation of both aspects. Conclusion is thus drawn that the "Four Pillars" is a scientific developing concept for the new requirements of the 21(st) century education. At the same time, campus sports culture plays essential roles and occupies important position. The two are complementary with the common objective. They are sharing the mutual responsibility in meeting challenges and competitions and in nurturing competent individuals.
