摘要
The plasmonic waveguides composed of uniform ultrathin corrugated metallic strip can support and propagate spoof surface plasmon polaritons (SSPPs) with high confinement and efficiency. However, when the surface impedance of the plasmonic waveguides are modulated periodically by using non-uniform corrugated metallic strip, then the SSPPs can be converted to the radiating leaky waves, whose main beam steers continuously as frequency changes. Furthermore, by adding active components into the plasmonic waveguide, the characteristics of the SSPPs can be controlled in real time, so the devices with different functions can be realized by using only a single electrically controllable waveguide.
