High speed phase-shifted speckle pattern interferometry for studying dynamic events

摘要
A phase-shifting dynamic speckle interferometry system which allows the recording of a sequence of interferograms at a frequency of 1 kHz was recently developed. Temporal phase shifting is carried out using a Pockels cell in the reference beam and phase extraction is performed using a standard four-frame algorithm. Temporal phase unwrapping allows sequences of several hundred phase maps to be obtained fully automatically. This paper presents preliminary results for the phase error which arises when this high speed ESPI system is used in the presence of vibration.
