A photoluminescent polymeric Cu(I) complex containing a novel fragment [Cu-4(bta)(3)(PPh3)(4)](+) (btaH = benzotriazole) like a reverse-umbrella has been synthesized and structurally characterized. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science BN. All rights reserved.
