摘要
In this paper, a flexible and useful algorithm for efficient analysis of finline-type structures is discussed. The proposed full-wave tool, using the integral method, is based on the calculation of modal inner products obtained through the Galerkin's procedure. By properly selecting trial functions taking into account the metallic edge effects, a numerical determination of such inner products is obtained through a trapezoidal numerical integration with nonequidistant discretization steps. This approach allowed improving accuracy while reducing the computational effort.
